Providing economic recovery relief to SMEs impacted by the July 2021 civil unrest in KZN through financial support and mentorship to help them rebuild and resume operations as quickly as possible . Our organisation was an implementing partner working closely with the affected salons to provide working capital solutions and skills training.

— Flood Relief Fund

Funds were committed to help the nation recover and rebuild all affected infrastructure and communities after the 2022 floods that affected communities and livelihoods. Our organisation was an implementing partner working closely with the cosmetology business that were affected by this crisis.

Firstrand Empowerment Foundation | 2023

— Social Investment for Empowerment

FREF works with potential partners to co-design proposals and initiatives that have clear systemic possibilities. Our organsisation was an implementing partner on a township focused project designed to support to salon SMEs that have been impacted by economic downturn. We worked closely with the affected salons to provide skills training and working capital solutions.
